c UC Santa Barbara 10, Hawaii 4: The Gauchos scored seven runs over the final two innings to end Hawaii’s two-game winning streak and split the four-game series Sunday in Honolulu.

Dalton Kelly’s pinch-hit RBI triple in the eighth tied the game at 4, and Ryan Clark’s infield single sent Kelly home with the winning run.

The Gauchos (2-2 Big West Conference, 14-12 overall) scored five runs in the ninth to put the game away.

Cameron Newell led UC Santa Barbara at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Brandon Trinkwon went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs, and Kelly was 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

Domenic Mazza (1-0) pitched three innings of relief to get the win. He allowed no runs on one hit and one walk and struck out none.

Adam Hurley went 2-for-4 for Hawaii (2-2, 7-18), and Stephen Ventimilia went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Lawrence Chew (0-2) gave up one run on one hit in 1 2/3 innings to suffer the loss. He also allowed Kelly’s RBI triple that scored an inherited runner. He struck out one.

Hawaii travels to UC Irvine for a three-game series starting Friday.
